Pinhole Photography Workshop

Site Gallery, Sheffield, S1 2BS
Saturday 30th January 2027
Learn how to make your own pinhole camera with artist Luca M.

Discover analogue photography in this hands-on workshop with Luca M. Learn how to make your own pinhole camera from recycled materials, then use it to create photographs inspired by exhibition The Goal of Our Heath.

Experiment with photographing the body in motion, taking inspiration from the series Plates, before heading out to explore the local area and capture the architecture of the city through your handmade camera.

Back in a temporary darkroom, you’ll process your photographs using a plant-based developer made with plants collected from the city. You’ll create unique prints that connect the images to the environment in which they were made, exploring processes that echo those used in the exhibition’s 16mm film.

No previous photography experience is needed - just bring your curiosity and get ready to experiment with analogue image-making.
