Sinfonia of Leeds

Sinfonia of Leeds is a symphony orchestra based in Leeds. The majority of players are amateurs and pay a yearly subscription to rehearse and perform four concerts each year at our regular venue, St Edmund's Church in Roundhay. Under the baton of our two Music Directors, David Greed and Anthony Kraus, the programme comprises well-known pieces from the classical repertoire, often featuring instrumental soloists and vocalists drawn from our connection with Opera North as well as young musicians at the start of their professional careers. We also venture into less familiar territory with contemporary compositions and works by female composers that have been overlooked in the classical playlist.
