Come From Away
St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School, Ireland, V14 Y434
Sunday 15 February 2026 - Saturday 21 February 2026
Shannon Musical Society is delighted to present Come From Away for it's 2026 Production.
Come From Away is set in the town of Gander, a small rural community on the island of Newfoundland off the coast of Canada. When the US airspace closed after the 9/11 attacks, 7,000 people descended upon the town of Gander overnight, nearly doubling its population. Witness the heartwarming and uplifting story of the townspeople and the `Come From Aways` who landed there.
This is a very special show for Shannon due it its focus on an airport town just like our own and a tight-knit community that bands together in times of need.
We send our thanks to our main sponsors Ei Electronics and Shannon Springs Hotel for their support and all they do for our town.
We hope you will join us and enjoy the show!
Professional Movie Recording Age Rating: 12
We encourage attendees to arrive early and be seated by 7:45 to experience the work from our Front of House team and some special extra visuals.
