A KILLER'S CONFESSION
ft Wayne Reavis of Mushroomhead
with guests Dhampyres
Sunday 30 May at Cart & Horses, London
Listening to A Killer’s Confession leaves a mark. Transmuting inner conflict into malevolently catchy melodies and reimagining physical force in the form of bludgeoning rhythms and bloodletting riffs, the band—fronted and masterminded by Waylon Reavis—channels sociopathy through sound. The group’s growing body of work could just as easily soundtrack your favorite true crime podcast as it could ignite an endless pit at a summer rock festival.
A Killer’s Confession’s story starts back in 2016. Fans worldwide got to know Waylon from his decade-plus in Mushroomhead, and he held their attention with his next chapter. Throughout the ensuing ten years, A Killer’s Confession generated tens of millions of streams fueled by “Numb,” “Angel On The Outside,” and more. Waylon and Co. also collaborated with everyone from Brian “Head” Welch of Korn and Chad Gray of Mudvayne to Aaron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome and his Mushroomhead brother-in-arms JMANN. Another chapter started with the back-to-release of Victim 1 [2024] and Victim 2 [2025]. The records received widespread acclaim from May The Rock Be With You, 100 Percent Rock Magazine, Chaos Zine, Ghost Cult Magazine, and Infrared Magazine who raved, “This isn’t a reinvention. It’s a rupture.” Plus, Victim 2 spawned a fan favorite cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box,” which clocked just shy of 1 million YouTube views.
In real-life, Waylon does everything he can to fight against injustice. Post-Mushroomhead, a stint working with children in a residential treatment facility proved to be life-changing for him. Simultaneously, he has supported and helped victims of child trafficking. For ten years running, he has produced and presented an annual Toys For Tots concert. On their sixth full-length album Victim 3 [MNRK Heavy], the collective now conclude their most ambitious storyline to date, following the serial killer from the previous two installments to his fate on death row, opening the door for future stories from A Killer’s Confession.
