Winter Wonderland 2026

Join us for our family fun day event - Winter Wonderland!

We'll be finding out about the 'Twelve Bugs of Christmas' and exploring how we can help our minibeasts get through the winter!

Santa will be joining us for children who would like to meet him and receive a small gift. Santa slots must be booked here, we will need information about your child's reading age. Santa is not available at 12.30 or 12.45 (even Santa needs a loo break sometimes!)

Tickets are by donation but booking is essential. Please ensure you book a ticket for EVERY adult and EVERY child in your group; you can choose whether to see Santa or not as you go through the booking process.

Quiet & Relaxed slots are available at 11.00 and 11.15 for those with disabilities or other reasons for needing them, please contact [email protected] or 0191 275 0000 to arrange.

Activities will include:

• Twelve Bugs of Christmas Trail
• Storytelling
• Singing around the fire
• Bug craft
• Hot chocolate with a sweet treat
• Traditional games
• Raffle
• And much, much more.

Important information about your visit:

• This is an outdoor event - wrap up warm and dry, wear shoes suitable for muddy surfaces.
• Allow about 1.5hrs for your visit.
• Bring some small change for the fun games and raffle (this helps our youth group fundraise for activities and trips).
• Card payments are available at the Sticky Business stall - excellent for gifts!
• Please help our planet - walk, cycle or come by public transport if you can! Parking is very limited.
• Please keep the disabled bays available to blue badge holders who need them and pavements safe for children moving around.

PLEASE NOTE:
Tickets remain FREE to everyone, but donations make these events possible. You will have an opportunity to donate while booking your ticket or on the day. If you aren't able to donate at this time you can still check out for free! This event is supported by Benwell & Scotswood Ward funding.

We are always oversubscribed, if you can't attend PLEASE contact [email protected] or 0191 275 0000 to cancel your tickets so someone else can come along!

Big thanks go to the 50+ wonderful volunteers, young volunteers and partners who make these community events possible. If you'd like to volunteer or donate to future events please get in touch with [email protected].
