🌔 Midwinter 7K Forest Social Run

Join us for a free group run following woodland paths and fire roads in the dark!  You’ll be running on sandy and stony paths with tree roots and rabbit holes (so please bring at least one torch).  Depending on the weather, there may be some mud and/or puddles, but your Run Leader will make sure everyone is aware of the paths along the way.  Sorry, but this event is not suitable for buggies or dogs.  Under 16s are welcome as long as they book with an adult and must be accompanied, and will be solely the responsibility of, that adult.
One of our Run Leaders will run at the pace of the slowest runner and there’ll be at least one more Leader at the front to make sure everyone goes the right way.  We’ll be providing a route map (and you can request a GPX file to be used on your smart watch/phone).  Should you decide to run ahead, it will be your responsibility to find your way back to the finish.  The group run will start at 7:00pm, but please arrive a few minutes earlier for a briefing, and a bit of midwinter woods history!
As long as the clouds stay away we should also be able to stop and do some stargazing.
There’ll be drinks and snacks at the end.  There’s a limit of 21 runners for this event, first come first served.  We’ll be parking near Santon Downham, just off the Santon Road.  Please be aware that the car park has a dirt surface that can be a little rough in places.
