Tales Untapped: A Rotherham Opera - 26th November
Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, S60 1FD
Wednesday 26th November 2025
Debuting at Magna Science Adventure Centre on 25th and 26th November and created with more than 2,000 young people from the borough, ‘Tales Untapped’ will be an opera like no other, celebrating Rotherham becoming the world's first Children's Capital of Culture in 2025.
‘Tales Untapped’ has come to life through a partnership with Rotherham Music, the RBO, Grimm & Co and Children’s Capital of Culture, who have worked with children and young people from all 25 wards of the borough this year to create a wholly unique opera. From storylines to set design, and composition to costuming, Rotherham’s young people have taken charge and created something truly imaginative.
