Whisper in the Woods
Original title: Le chant des forêts
Vincent Munier | France | 2025 | 99m + 20m Q&A | U | In French with English subtitles
The acclaimed and hugely popular documentary will feature a pre-recorded Q&A, a conversation between director Vincent Munier and acclaimed artist-author Luke Adam Hawker (who has over 500k+ followers on socials).
From the director of The Velvet Queen this new documentary follows wildlife photographer Vincent Munier as he returns to the forest where he learned everything about nature from his father. Now it is his turn to pass on this knowledge to his own son. Three generations walk through the forest together. They wait in silence for the animals. They observe the changing light. They share memories. At night, they sit in the forest and talk quietly by candlelight, telling stories about animals they have seen and moments that have stayed with them. These scenes create a strong sense of connection between the grandfather, father, and son. Winner of the 2026 César for best documentary and best sound. In French with English subtitles.
