Love is......
Refugee Roots, Nottingham, NG1 2DH
Friday 13th February 2026
Join us for an evening of poetry exploring what love is. Expect a twist of salt, vinegar and sass. While there may be hearts and flowers there'll be far more on heartbreak, love lost and the unexpected nature of love.
We will have 4 featured poets - Clare Stewart, Joy Rice, Diane Horsley and Sue Allen.
There will be open mic slots on a first come first serve basis so bring along your poem on the them of love and what it means - the more sour and spicey the better for this Galentine's night event.
Our event is in support of the charity Refugee Roots with all proceeds from ticket sales going to the charity. Adam Baker the Director of Refugee Roots will tell us about the important work the charity does.
There will be light refreshments and cake available during the break for a donation.
