LCC Drama Presents: The Rimers of Eldritch by Lanford Wilson
Rose Center For The Arts (RCA), WA, 98632
Friday, November 13 2026 7:30PM
The Lower Columbia College Drama Department production of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lanford Wilson’s The Rimers of Eldritch, digs into a one-time prosperous coal mining town (on its way to becoming a ghost town) poisoned by intolerance. An off-Broadway hit that won the Drama Desk Vernon Rice Award, this poetic, haunting drama chronicles a month where the town hermit is murdered in uncertain circumstances. Through the subsequent trial, the nosy townspeople gossiping about everyone’s business must ask themselves how such a crime could be committed. Wilson peels back his collage of characters, weaving fluidly through time, to reveal a “wicked old town” the townspeople never wanted to see.
