Coercive Control and the Law – Delivered by Perthshire Women’s Aid

This session will be delivered by Perthshire Womens Aid and supported by the Violence Against Women Partnership.
This session is designed to give participants and understanding of the gendered nature of domestic abuse and coercive control, with a focus on new legislation and what that means for practice.

By the end of this session, you will:

• Understand the historical context of the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018.
• Define and identify coercive control Understand the provisions of the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018 and the links with existing legislation.
• Apply the knowledge to your own practice.
• Know where to signpost.
