Texas Red Dirt Country is coming to Rooster's Backyard in Greenwood — and it's going to be a night worth showing up for. Following the 2nd Annual Bags for Bowls cornhole tournament, the Logan Ryan Band takes the stage to close out the evening with the kind of high-energy, roots-driven performance that has been turning heads across Texas and beyond.
Led by Texas singer-songwriter Logan Ryan Skloss, the Logan Ryan Band brings raw storytelling and high-energy live performance to every stage they touch. Drawing from a deep well of influences — from Joe Walsh and The Band to Robert Earl Keen and Charlie Robison — Logan's sound is rooted in authenticity and grit, shaped by a lifetime of music that started when he picked up a guitar at age nine and was writing his own songs by eleven.
Backed by David Elder, Brent Riedel, Garret McKinley, and Leo Morales, the band has built a loyal and growing following across Texas and beyond. Fan favorites like "Signed, Love Wynonna" and the breakout hit "Tecovas" have made them a staple of the Red Dirt scene — and their debut album Kamikaze (The Album) is out now and gaining serious traction on streaming platforms. The title track "Kamikaze" is one you'll want to hear live. Even Parker McCollum has been caught singing along.
Best of all, all ticket sale proceeds go directly to Permian Paws In Need — a nonprofit pet supply pantry dedicated to keeping pets fed, healthy and home across the Permian Basin. Come for the competition. Stay for the music. Leave knowing you made a difference.

But the night kicks off with Gatlin Johnson — and he's not just an opener, he's a reason to show up early. Hailing from Aledo, TX, Gatlin is a modern torchbearer for Red Dirt country, writing songs that feel lived-in and true. His story is one of reinvention: a college football injury that ended one dream and quietly ignited another. With his foot in a cast and a guitar in hand, he rediscovered a half-written song from high school — and a calling he couldn't ignore. His sophomore EP, Only Shot, is the result: a confessional, roots-driven collection built on resilience and raw emotion. If you've ever nursed a heartbreak or chased a second chance, Gatlin's music will find you right where you are.
