Oxford University Wind Orchestra

Oxford University Wind Orchestra gives a large number of talented woodwind, brass, and percussion players from across the University the opportunity to perform in a successful, friendly ensemble. The orchestra performs at least once per term in venues ranging from University Church to the Sheldonian across Oxford, and has exciting plans for the years to come, having recently celebrated our 50th anniversary!

OUWO is ran and conducted entirely by students. Our concerts this year are under the baton of Nick Samuel - a conductor, pianist and composer currently in his third year studying music at St Anne's College.

OUWO is affiliated to OUMS, the Oxford University Music Society, and many of our members also perform in one or more of the other OUMS ensembles. For more information on the great work that OUMS does for music in Oxford see their website.
