Wow! We’re not even sure we should be attempting this. It’s going to be a November to remember in Bearwood when Terry Edwards, renowned scion of indie rock brass comes to the Black Country for three shows at the smallish-but-relatively well formed Blue Room above the RPM Analogue Audio vintage hi-fi shop.  

In addition to numerous solo records, Terry has played saxophone with pretty much every indie idol you’ve ever had over the past 30 years: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Tindersticks, Gallon Drunk, Madness… and way more besides.

We’re still pinching ourselves at the weird audacity of it all, and grateful to Terry for being such a great guy and taking this on.
It means though, we need everyone in Bearwood, and some from a short distance beyond to come out to see Terry play. It’s gonna be a treat. The shows are on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of November at 7pm, and Sunday 8th is a matinee at 2pm. Each show will feature a different but equally stellar special guest: Friday features Rachel Mayfield, Saturday, The Dollcanoes and Sunday, Millicent Chapanda, and there’ll be something of a rock’n’roll conversation between RPM host Richard March of Pop Will Eat Itself/Bentley Rhythm Ace and Terry mid-way through the show.

The Blue Room Café is just one part of something amazing Pop Will Eat Itself / Bentley Rhythm Ace's Richard March is making at RPM Analogue Audio in Bearwood. There's the record store, the bakery and the recording studio all to know about. And of course the incredible Aladdin's cave of the vintage hi-fi shop at street level. Space in the Blue Room can be tight, but that means the atmosphere is generally great. Right now, Richard is doing all he can to make this space matter. In Bearwood. Where we live. Support it.
