A Christmas to Remember - A Play in Two Acts
Join our talented UHI Moray HND Acting & Performance students for a captivating festive theatre experience that celebrates two of the most cherished themes of Christmas: family, friendship, and the passing of time.
The Long Christmas Dinner
Written by acclaimed American playwright Thornton Wilder, this timeless Christmas classic follows the lives of the Bayard family over the course of more than 90 Christmas dinners. Spanning generations, this moving and thought-provoking production beautifully captures life's milestones, family traditions, love, loss, and the memories that bind us together.
Dinner for One
Also featured is the much-loved comedy sketch Dinner for One by Lauri Wylie. Audiences are invited to celebrate the 90th birthday of the elegant Countess Sophie, joined by her devoted butler James. As old friends are fondly remembered and traditions are upheld, this hilarious yet touching piece highlights the enduring value of companionship, loyalty, and a life well lived.
A Showcase of Outstanding Performance Skills
These highly physical and vocally demanding productions provide an exciting platform for our student performers to demonstrate the craft of acting at its finest. Through detailed characterisation and skilful performance techniques, they will bring to life characters spanning generations, portraying the subtle changes that come with age, experience, and time.
