On Christmas Night
Holy Trinity Church, Frome, BA11 3DE
Saturday 12th December 2026 7:30PM
Join Oakfield Choir for On Christmas Night, an atmospheric evening of Christmas music at Holy Trinity Church, Frome.
Directed by Neil Moore, with instrumental ensemble and soloists, the programme features Schütz's Christmas Story, bringing Nativity vividly to life, and Britten's much-loved A Ceremony of Carols. Music by Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo adds moments of stillness and shimmering beauty, including Lux aeterna and Northern Lights. In this 50th year of Benjamin Britten's passing, his A Hymn to the Virgin, written when he was just 16, completes our programme.
Celebrate the season with music full of warmth, wonder and Christmas joy.
