Festive Willow - Willow Weaving Workshop

North Hertfordshire Museum, Hitchin, SG5 1JE
Friday 4th December 2026 11:00AM
Get into the festive spirit by learning the art of willow weaving in this seasonal workshop led by Hazel Godfrey. During the session, you will make a selection of small decorative weavings to add to your Christmas decorations.

Using natural willow, you will create festive pieces such as Christmas trees, stars and angels. These can be hung on the tree, displayed on a mantelpiece or used as thoughtful handmade gifts. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners, with clear tuition and guidance throughout.

This is a relaxed, creative session and a lovely way to try a traditional craft while making decorations to enjoy year after year.

Please bring sharp secateurs or garden pruners
