The Beryl Gilroy Forum: Get Into Teaching

Open to students, graduates, career-changers and education professionals, named in honour of Dr Beryl Gilroy, London's first Black headteacher, the Forum aims to support greater diversity and representation within the teaching profession. We particularly welcome attendees from groups currently underrepresented in education, though all are welcome.
If you're curious but feel you need to know more, or that your journey so far may preclude you, this event will show you the different routes in and the range of roles available in schools.
Hear from speakers including:

• Andria Zafirakou MBE – Associate Principal, Swiss Cottage School Development & Research Centre, 2018 Global Teacher Prize winner
• Dr Jasper Green – Head of Initial Teacher Education, UCL Institute of Education
• Samy Etienne - Deputy Head Academic

Workshops: Practical sessions will explore key questions — Why teach? Is it for me? How do I get in? — giving attendees hands-on insight into routes into the profession.
