Marches Comedy: December
Montgomery Town Hall, Montgomery, SY15 6PH
Friday 11th December 2026 8:30PM
The final Marches Comedy night of 2026 sees Morgan Rees and your host for the evening.
Morgan Rees Welsh, queer, and pretty darn hilarious comedian and writer. You might have seen me MCing or headlining comedy clubs all over the UK. Or, let’s be honest, you’ve probably seen one of my viral clips while doomscrolling on your phone. When he is not performing, he is one of those gremlins behind the camera making programmes funny including Mock the Week, The Great American Joke-Off, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and many more. He is also the co-writer of the internet sensation Uncle Roger. Before you ask - yeah, it’s fine that I write that.
Jake Baker is a British stand-up comedian known for his understated delivery, whimsical observations and quietly inventive approach to everyday absurdities. With a laid-back stage presence that belies the thoughtfulness of his writing, Baker explores everything from social conventions and relationships to masculinity and the peculiarities of modern life, often finding unexpected humour in seemingly ordinary situations. His comedy combines light self-deprecation with sharp, playful ideas, curiosity and a characteristically gentle touch.
Huw Davies Huw Davies is a 2024 Wales unsigned standup award finalist.“A fantastic comedian and MC, had the crowd eating out of his hands and rolling with laughter” (Black Mountain Comedy Festival). Huw's ability to engage the audience was great. The pacing, cadence, and clarity of his voice is fantastic — he delivered a solid 20 minutes of consistent laughter. Farcical Comedy.
Glenn Wool Glenn’s act has been described: ‘A masterpiece of comedy which has the audience helpless with laughter. I genuinely think this is one of the best hours of comedy I have ever seen’ ★★★★★ The Scotsman.
2017 and 2018 saw Glenn touring with Reginald D Hunter for his Some People v. Reginald D. Hunter tour. You also might have heard him on Freestyle with Frankie Boyle, or seen him on Doug Stanhope’s The Comedians' Comedian's Comedians (SeeSo), which was recorded at SXSW. Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became an established star of the London comedy circuit before becoming a globally recognised name. His TV credits include John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show as well as appearances on The Green Room with Paul Provenza, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News and numerous other UK stand-up shows. In 2016 Glenn was featured on The John Bishop Show on BBC1 and hosted a new NBC series Before the Morning After. He also lent his voice (along with Katherine Ryan) to the BAFTA award-winning Lottie Bearshout: Good as Goaled for Disney XD. In recent years Glenn has dominated the international comedy circuit, performing to huge crowds in Holland, Singapore, Dubai, Cape Town, Melbourne, Montreal, LA, New York, Auckland and Sydney. He is a hugely popular addition to many of the great summer music festivals in the UK, including Reading & Leeds, Bestival, Download, Sonisphere and Glastonbury.
