BBC Radio4 GARDENERS’ QUESTION TIME recording
Minstead Village Hall, Minstead, SO43 7FX
Tuesday 25th August 2026
Having trouble with your tomatoes or is drought affecting your dahlias?
The Minstead Flower Show Society are delighted to welcome the much loved BBC Radio 4 show GARDENERS’ QUESTION TIME to record two shows on the evening of Tuesday 25th August 2026 at the Minstead Village Hall.
Come along , with your questions, to hear the panel give their expert help on your gardening conundrums. If you would just like to come along and experience the atmosphere of a radio recording and be a part of the audience you would also be most welcome.
The panelists will be chaired by Kathy Clugston. She will be joined by:
Pippa Greenwood - Plant pathologist and broadcaster
Bethan Collerton - Head Gardener, Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Matthew Wilson - Garden Designer, writer and broadcaster
The programme will be aired Friday 4th September. A second show will also be recorded that evening so plenty of questions will be needed. We will send out a request for questions closer to the date, but please get your thinking caps on!
Refreshments will be available both before and after the recordings so please come along and support this BBC national treasure.
This recording precedes the 75th anniversary Minstead Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show which will take place in the Hall on Saturday 5th September 2026.
Your entries to this amateur show are very welcome and the schedule of classes can be found at htttps://minstead.org.uk/minstead-flower-show-society/
So it’s a fun filled flower, fruit and vegetable fortnight!
Tickets can also be purchased by phoning TicketSource on 0333 666 446
