Nighttime Creatures of the Redway LANTERN PARADE

Newton Leys Pavilion, Milton Keynes, MK3 5SP
Saturday 14th November 2026
Join us for a one-time, magical evening of light, wildlife and imagination as we bring the Nighttime Creatures of the Redway to life in a lantern parade around the beautiful Blue Lagoon!

Inspired by the wonderful wildlife that lives above, below, in and around the Blue Lagoon, this special family-friendly event invites us to celebrate our local natural world in a whole new light.

Our parade will feature a wonderful collection of lanterns created by local people at our public workshops and by children and young people in local schools. You’re also very welcome to bring along your own homemade lantern and add your own spark of magic to the parade!

Fancy dress is very much welcome and encouraged! Come as your favourite nighttime creature, from bats and badgers to owls, foxes and all manner of magical wildlife. Let your imagination run wild!

We’ll set off from Newton Leys Pavilion at 4:30pm, taking an enchanting walk along the Redway to Blue Lagoon before returning to the pavilion to enjoy some refreshments and round off the evening together.
