A little community spirit can go a long way! An all-star cast assemble to spread some cinematic festive cheer in ‘Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint’. After a snow globe shopping catastrophe lands him in hot water, Aubrey Flint is forced into community service at a struggling retirement home. Under threat from an evil property developer, Ellen rallies the residents and ropes Aubrey into a gloriously chaotic production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ in the hope of saving the site. From the streets of York to the makeshift stage, Aubrey not only discovers the power of the local community but also rediscovers the magic of the season.

Hull Independent Cinema members had the chance to see an early version of the film and provide their feedback, and to say thank you the film’s distributors have given us the chance to show the film here in Hull with members of the cast and crew as our special guests. The film will be followed by a live in-person Q&A with the film’s director, Jack Spring, and members of the cast including local actors Adrian Rawlins and Michael Kinsey (additional guests to be confirmed).

Starring Richard E. Grant, Celia Imrie, John Bradley, Jim Broadbent
