Medina Marching Band 50th Anniversary Concert
Christ the King College, Newport, PO30 5QT
Saturday 28th March 2026
We are proud to present a very special concert celebrating 50 years of the Medina Marching Band, taking place on Saturday 28th March at 3pm at Christ the King College, Newport.
This milestone anniversary marks half a century of music, discipline, community spirit, and service. Since our founding in 1976, we have represented the Isle of Wight with pride at parades, ceremonies, competitions, and major events both locally and further afield.
The concert programme will reflect the our rich heritage and enduring legacy, featuring a varied selection of music that highlights its history, achievements, and continued evolution.
A special highlight of the evening will be the appearance of the MMB Reunion Band, bringing together former members from across the past five decades. Their participation celebrates the lasting friendships, shared memories, and dedication that have shaped the band over the years. Our Sunday Morning Development Band will also have their own set which will feature all of our learners who will ensure the band continues for the next 50 years.
Audiences can expect an uplifting and memorable evening of traditional marches, reflective pieces, and celebratory music, performed by both current and former members. This golden anniversary concert is a tribute to everyone who has supported the Medina Marching Band over the last 50 years—musicians, families, supporters, and the wider community.
Join us as we celebrate the past, honour the present, and look ahead to the future of the Medina Marching Band at this very special anniversary concert.
