MCS Drama
MCS Drama is the Drama department of Magdalen College School, an independent school based in the heart of Oxford. With a programme of between 12 and 15 productions each year, MCS Drama offers an ambitious and varied programme of performance, spanning a wide range of styles, genres, venues and scales.
From intimate studio productions and student-led performances to large-scale musicals, classical plays and ambitious ensemble work, our programme gives pupils the opportunity to experience theatre in many different forms. Productions take place across the school and in professional venues, including performances at Oxford Playhouse.
At the heart of MCS Drama is a commitment to creating exciting, challenging and imaginative theatre, while giving as many pupils as possible the opportunity to take part. Our productions are made by pupils working alongside experienced theatre professionals, developing skills in performance, directing, design, technical theatre and creative collaboration.
Whether you're a member of the MCS community, a parent, a prospective pupil or simply a theatre lover in Oxford, we hope you'll join us for one of our many productions throughout the year.
