People’s Emergency Briefing
The Studio Theatre, Moffat, DG10 9AH
Sunday 12th July 2026
A clear-eyed look at the challenges we face — and the opportunities for meaningful action.
Part of Climate Ready Moffat & District, supported by DG Climate Hub.
The People's Emergency Briefing brings together leading UK scientists, experts and communicators to explore the climate and nature crisis and what it means for our lives, communities and future.
Covering topics including extreme weather, food security, health and the cost of living, the briefing offers an accessible overview of some of the biggest challenges facing society today.
But this isn't just about understanding the problems. It's also about exploring what we can do next.
After the briefing, we'll have time to discuss what it means for us here in Moffat and District, share ideas and explore practical opportunities for local action.
Recommended for ages 16+.
Donations are welcome (suggested amount £5). All money received will be donated to Studio Moffat, the charity venue that hosts many of our community events at low or no cost.
Films that spark change.
The What If? Film Club brings people together to watch thoughtful films, share ideas and explore what positive change could look like — in our communities and in the wider world. Each screening is designed to be welcoming, reflective and hopeful, with space to connect over good conversation, cake and creative activities. The What If? Film Club is a Make/Change Collective project.
