Luna Gathering- The Mourning

Join us on Thursday 12th November at 6pm at the newly opened Vestry, hidden within a beautiful old church in Tynemouth.
The Mourning is an intimate gothic gathering for those who see beauty in the darkness.
We'll begin the evening with a little indulgence. Step behind the bar and mix your very own elixir, enjoy some picky plates and connect with other women.
Once everyone has settled in, we'll be joined by our special guest speaker Emma, a collector of Victorian mourning jewellery, who will share the fascinating history and symbolism behind these sentimental pieces, along with examples from her personal collection.
You'll then have the opportunity to create your own gothic keepsake to take home, inspired by Victorian curiosities and the art of remembrance.
If you'd like to make your keepsake more personal, you're welcome to bring along a small photograph, handwritten note or sentimental item to honour someone close to you. Or you could even create your own little memento mori to leave behind when you depart this mortal world.
This is entirely optional.
