Christmas Comedy at The Lobster Smack
The Lobster Smack, Canvey Island, SS8 0NR
Saturday 19th December 2026
Our Comedy Nights are so popular we are back again on Saturday 1st August.
Jason Simmons is returning once again to host this event and he is bringing two new and very funny comedians, Pat Smith and Sean Gorman.
Jason Simmons - MC
Jason is a Kent based stand up who mixes self deprecating stories with funny observations and sharp one liners.
Pat Smith is an award winning stand up comedian and has been referred to as a viral sensation on multiple occasions (that's at least twice).
Armed with a sharp wit and a cheeky grin, the Essex born comedian has made waves since stepping up to the mic. In his first couple of years he racked up wins at top competitions like Frog and Bucket's Beat The Frog, Up The Creek's The Blackout and Leicester Comedy Festival's Laughter Craft Gong before hitting the road to perform UK wide.
Pat's comedy is derived from his experiences of life before, during and after the military. Whether it's parenting, friends and family or world events, his unique perspective, observations and story telling will have you laughing from the get-go.
Sean Gorman
Since starting, Salisbury's Sean Gorman, now based in London, has quickly proven to have a bright future in stand up. Within the first couple of years he reached the finals of the Reading Fringe New Act, Piccadilly Comedy Club New Act and South Coast Comedian of The Year competitions.
In 2024 he was selected as part of the prestigious Best In Class showcase at The Edinburgh Fringe, which went on to win the panel prize at The Edinburgh-ISH Comedy Awards, and received multiple 4 Star reviews from publications including The Scotsman.
Displaying the stage presence of a more seasoned comedian, his deadpan delivery and self deprecating humour has the audience hanging on every word. Sean can be seen performing at some of the best and most famous comedy clubs on the UK circuit including The Comedy Store, Downstairs At The Kings Head and Backyard Comedy Club, as well as many other clubs across the UK and Europe.
