LIVE MUSIC, REAL ARTISTS, RIGHT NOW.
Tawananyasha Riley Mamvura, professionally known as Riley Mamvura, is a Zimbabwean-born, UK-based bassist, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist building a distinctive voice across African music, jazz, gospel, world and contemporary sounds.
Riley’s musicianship combines deep musicality, versatility and a strong performance identity, with the bass at the centre of his creative expression. Since moving to the UK in 2023, he has rapidly developed his profile through high-level performance opportunities and artist development.
He became the first recipient of the B:Music Scholarship, supporting his development through specialist tuition, collaboration and live performance. His growing performance credits include Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham, the Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space, B:and Together, the Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival and Brum Rising at the Midlands arts Centre 2026.
BLUEPRINT
Liverpool-based BLUEPRINT are a genre-bending 5-piece jazz-fusion band redefining how complex music connects.
Sonically, BLUEPRINT sit within a new wave of female-fronted bands such as FORAGER and WILLOW. Inspired by the off-kilter grooves of HIATUS KAIYOTE and the melodic vocals of JONI MITCHELL, they craft a contemporary jazz sound that blends intricate rhythms, rich harmony and adventurous songwriting.
Built on shifting time signatures and fluid, evolving arrangements, BLUEPRINT’s music embraces rhythmic complexity without losing its sense of flow—grooves twist and turn yet feel natural and intuitive. Influenced by London’s modern jazz movement, including ALFA MIST, they bring sharp rhythmic phrasing and dynamic interplay to compositions that challenge expectations without alienating the listener.
This is a standing gig, but accessible tickets are available if you need a seat or additional access support.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
