Join Lichfield Arts and Lichfield on Film for a fun, free, creative photo walk that celebrates the art of analogue film!
We'll start at the Garrick Theatre Community Hub with light refreshments, give you a roll of 35mm film (we can help you load it if you’ve never done it before!) and have a short chat before heading out on our route.
At each stop we'll set a creative challenge, and there will be plenty of time to swap tips with other photographers along the way.
No experience needed. Whether you shoot film every week or have never held a film camera, you're welcome, and the team will be on hand to help.
The route (roughly 2.5km, involving some gentle hills):
Start at Lichfield Guildhall
Opposite the old library
Beacon Park
Cathedral
Minster Pool
Dam Street
End at Garrick Community Hub
What's included:
A roll of 35mm film
Developing and scanning, hand your film back at the end of the walk and we'll send your
photos back within a couple of weeks
Light refreshments
What to bring:
Your film camera (if you have one!). We have a limited number of cameras to borrow, so please tell us when you book if you need one.
Coat, umbrella and warm clothes, depending on the weather
Comfortable shoes for walking
The walk will go ahead in light rain. If the weather is severe, we'll contact you by email the day before.
