Films at the Library - The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford (cert 15)- Seaton Library

Kenneth (Peter Mullan) works as a tour guide, dressing up as the town’s most notable historical figure, Sir Douglas Weatherford, who Kenneth proudly claims as his ancestor. When the village becomes the base of a big-budget fantasy TV show, his obsession with the show’s lead actor fuels a tragic downward spiral.

“Mullan’s heartbreaking performance means it achieves a balance of absurdity and real pathos.”
