Leitheatre has been putting on shows in Edinburgh since 1946, and 2026 marks our 80th anniversary year. Having started at Kirkgate Church in Leith, we're now based in Sunnyside, just off Easter Road, where we rehearse three main productions a year, including an annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe show. Our most recent Fringe production was Brassed Off, an ambitious collaboration with Lochgelly Band that was one of our most successful shows to date.

We're always looking to welcome new members. Performers, of course, but also the people who build the sets, design the costumes, run the tech and make everything actually happen. No experience is needed. Please get in touch if you're interested in any aspect of theatre!
