Family Theatre Trip – The Littlest Yak
The Leiston Education Partnership is delighted to invite families from our partnership schools to attend The Littlest Yakat the Britten Pears Studio, Snape Maltings. This trip forms part of our ‘Under the Same Spotlight’ initiative, ensuring all children can access high-quality arts experiences.
We are offering a discounted ticket price of £6 per person, which includes:
Meet Gertie, the littlest yak in her family. Gertie is desperate to grow up and be just like the big yaks, but discovers that sometimes being the smallest can be very special indeed. Based on the much-loved children’s book The Littlest Yak, this charming family production brings Gertie’s story to life and offers a wonderful introduction to live performance for younger children.
Age guidance: This experience is aimed at children aged 3–7 (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). Parents and carers are encouraged to review the event details and use their own judgement to decide whether this experience is suitable for their child.
Route 1 – Leiston Leisure Centre, Aldeburgh
Families should meet at Leiston Leisure centre at 1:30pm
Families should meet at St Peter and St Pauls Church Car Park at 1:45pm for travel to the Britten Pears Studio at Snape Maltings.
The performance has a running time of approximately 45 minutes. We expect to return to Leiston Leisure Centre at approximately 3:45pm and Aldeburgh by 4pm.
Please note that return times are approximate and may be affected by traffic or other circumstances on the day.
Supervision and responsibility:
This is a family experience, not a school trip. Children must be accompanied by a parent or designated appropriate adult at all times. Parents/carers remain fully responsible for the supervision, safety and behaviour of their child/ren throughout the trip, including during travel and at the venue.
