Leeds Craftivists

The Community Wellbeing Hub Leeds, Leeds, LS7 3EZ
Monday 3rd August 2026 - Monday 7th September 2026
Join the Leeds Craftivists!

Leeds Craftivists are a collective of creatives and activists who use gentle crafting to create the kind and loving world we want to see. We meet once a month to learn about local campaigns and use our community voice to call for action from people in power. By crafting small, beautiful objects and big, bold community art pieces, we educate ourselves and invite our whole Leeds community into the movement for change. Our gentle activism approach also helps us to nourish ourselves with creativity, and take action in a way that is sustainable for our own wellbeing.

Whether you’re a skilled artist or you can’t even thread a needle, you are so welcome to join us for an evening of crafting a better world together.

Additional information:
Leeds Craftivists is part of Leeds Sanctuary, registered charity number 1212006. As you book your ticket to this event, you will come across questions which help us monitor Equality and Diversity in our communities, which we hope are inclusive and safe for all. Please be assured that any information you share with us will be treated confidentially, and if you prefer not to answer the Equality and Diversity questions in this form, you will not be treated any differently to someone who has.

For details of our Safeguarding Policy, please click here.

We aim to have a qualified Mental Health First Aider at each of our gatherings. This community is facilitated by Emma Temple, our Justice Practitioner.

We will be taking photos at this event which may be used both digitally and in print for marketing and information purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let one of our Team know on the day.

If you are concerned that the Community Wellbeing Hub may be a challenging venue for you to attend, but you’d like to come, please contact Emma for a conversation about how we can support you to come.

We are delighted to be able to offer our events, communities and resources for free, but we would be grateful if you would consider making a donation or becoming a regular giver so that we can continue to run our activities and create new resources for anyone who would like to access them. There will be opportunities at this event to make a donation, but should you wish to do this now, please visit our website.
