Exploring COLOUR: Collage and Mark Making (12+ years)

Join us at Kirkcudbright Galleries for a creative colourful workshop based on the exhibition COLOUR: The Palette of S.J. Peploe (open 6 June – 4 October 2026). As one of the best-known artists of the Scottish Colourists group, Peploe (1871-1935) was skilled at portraits, landscapes and still life, and is particularly celebrated for his breathtaking use of colour.
Experiment with collage and mark making in this workshop for young people, aged 12+.
Workshops are led by Kirkcudbright Wasps-based artist and tutor Patti Leino. Patti has many years' experience of teaching and exhibiting, and holds a PhD in Contemporary Fine Art Practice and Ecocriticism (the study of relationships between the arts and the living world). Her workshops are colourful, friendly and creative, with the aim of bringing out the best in your own individual responses to objects, people, light and land.
