A Lad Din the 70s - An Utterly Fabulous Non-Traditional Pantomime

Kingskerswell Village Hall, Kingskerswell, TQ12 5DJ
Friday 4th December 2026
Welcome to Kingskerswell, where disco is king, glitter is a lifestyle, and Widow Twankey’s Groovy Car Wash is the beating heart of the village.

But trouble is brewing. The outrageous property developer Abba is determined to get their hands on Twankey’s beloved car wash and a mysterious lava lamp that could help them achieve their scheme. With debts mounting and time running out, it looks like the car wash might be heading for disaster.

Meanwhile, dreamer Aladdin has his eye on the glamorous Jasmine, lovable Wishee Washee is causing chaos wherever he goes, and the whole village is preparing for the biggest event of the year – a spectacular Talent Show.

When a stolen lamp, a missing sponge, a pair of hopeless henchmen, a disco-loving Genie and a long-forgotten secret collide, Kingskerswell is thrown into a whirlwind of magic, mayhem and 70s grooves.

Can Aladdin save his family?
Will Twankey keep hold of her car wash?
Can the police solve a mystery without getting completely distracted?
And will Wishee Washee ever master the legendary Kingskerswell Slide?

Packed with audience participation, laugh-out-loud comedy, fabulous 70s music and plenty of surprises, A Lad Din the 70s is a sparkling family pantomime guaranteed to have everyone singing, laughing and dancing in their seats.
