Passion, rivalry, and tragedy collide as our talented Years 7–9 students bring Shakespeare’s timeless classic Romeo & Juliet to life.
Set in the midst of a bitter feud between two families, this powerful story follows young lovers Romeo and Juliet as they defy expectations, challenge loyalty, and risk everything for love. Their journey is filled with humour, tension, and heartbreak, exploring themes that remain just as relevant for young people today as they were over 400 years ago.

This production is especially significant as it marks the return of a Key Stage 3 Shakespeare performance after many years—a testament to the exceptional enthusiasm and ability within our younger years. The project itself was sparked by student demand, with Year 8 pupils campaigning for the opportunity to take centre stage in a full Shakespearean play.

What makes this performance truly unique is that it is entirely student-led. Directed by a Sixth Form student and supported by a Year 10 assistant director, the cast and crew have taken creative ownership of every element of the production. From performance choices to staging and interpretation, students have shaped this version of Romeo & Juliet with imagination, insight, and remarkable maturity. Staff have simply supported their vision, allowing student leadership and creativity to shine.

Audiences can expect an energetic, thoughtful, and emotionally engaging interpretation of the play, showcasing not only the acting talent of Years 7–9, but also the leadership, collaboration, and artistic ambition of our student production team.

Join us for an evening of drama, romance, and powerful storytelling, and celebrate the incredible achievements of our young performers and creators.
