In April 2027, Johnny Dowd returns to the UK and the Benelux with Mike Stark and Mark Lotterman, playing songs from his first two albums, Wrong Side of Memphis and Pictures From Life's Other Side. The tour marks the vinyl reissue of Pictures From Life's Other Side: a double LP with the full original record plus newly recorded acoustic versions. Johnny's own advice stands: come see him before it's too late.
Johnny
“I have a tour coming up in UK this April with Mike Stark and Mark Lotterman (Dutch rockstar and good buddy). There will be a vinyl release of my second album Pictures From Life's Other Side that sounds pretty amazing. Of course we will be playing a lot of songs from that record as well as tunes from Wrong Side of Memphis. I am really looking forward to this one. Come see me before it's too late.”
Album
“Johnny Dowd's cult classic Pictures From Life's Other Side is being reissued on vinyl. Originally released in 1999, the album is a raw and unsettling mix of blues, country, garage rock and twisted Americana. More than 25 years on, it remains as strange, darkly funny and uncompromising as ever. It will be released on a double vinyl with the full original record plus newly recorded, acoustic versions on side 4.”

Same text from June, in one place in case they're useful again:Johnny:
“Going into the way back machine with Mike Stark and Mark Lotterman playing songs from my first two albums, Wrong Side of Memphis and Pictures From Life's Other Side. Past, present and future collide in a once-in-a-lifetime musical introspective.”
Album:
“Since Wrong Side of Memphis was released on vinyl last year, Pictures From Life's Other Side should be next. For many fans it might be THE Johnny Dowd album, with landmark songs like God Created Woman, Worried Mind and I Hope You Don't Mind. After almost 30 years, it still sounds fresh as the darkest daisy that ever hit the Americana scene. Rotterdam-based art foundation Stichting Holland is really looking forward to putting this one on vinyl.”
Album review:
“If Willie Nelson turned into Mr. Hyde, he'd be Johnny Dowd. Backwoods Gothic tales of love, death, and a perverse God arrive with a twang and a junkyard clatter, reaching for laughs that grow uneasy.”
