Join expert guides for an unforgettable 3-day journey across Devon’s most iconic landscapes—from the ancient oak woods of Dartmoor to the pristine Atlantic coast. Based at Rewilding Coombeshead, this immersive small group safari brings you face-to-face with Britain’s most extraordinary native species.
Highlights Include:
- Marine & Coastal Expeditions: Offshore tracking for Atlantic bluefin tuna, dolphins, and grey seals.
- Ancient & Rewilding Habitats: Guided explorations through Dartmoor's temperate rainforests and dynamic restoration sites.
- Key Species Spotting: Close encounters and reintroduction insights featuring Eurasian beaver, Eurasian lynx, wildcat, water vole, white stork, and native wildlife.
- Exclusive Night Safaris: Dusk beaver watches, guided bat walks, and nocturnal moth identification.
What will you see? As with all wildlife safaris, there are no guarantees, but our experienced sea guides have excellent track rates. Our beaver watches have never let us down and our guided tour of the Species Recovery Centre’s captive breeding for reintroduction facility means we will see white stork, water vole, harvest mice, wild cat, possibly lynx and more.
Where will you stay?
Based at Rewilding Coombeshead, you have a number of 2 night accommodation options:
- Bell Tent - choose one of our beautifully furnished 6 meter bell tents set up with twin beds offers a comfortable stay close to the amenities in the camping field. Tea/coffee making facilities in the event barn. £170 (single or couple occupancy) photos here

- Local BnB & hotels near PL16 7JS (please note we have an early start so if you are staying off site, stay close)
Where will you eat? Breakfast will be provided on site. Then we will experience a range of Devons pubs and eateries on our safari. Costs included in your ticket price.
How will we travel? This is a small exclusive group. We will all travel together in an air conditioned people carrier.
Who is this safari for? This tour is for people interested in nature, specifically native British wildlife and landscape. We will be based at Rewilding Coombeshead hosting one of the UK’s leading Species Recovery Centre. Our guides will help you see where we are now in terms of nature in Devon and also paint a picture of possibility for a vibrant nature rich future.
