Medieval Mayhem 2026
Monk Bretton Priory, Barnsley, S71 5QD
Saturday 16th May 2026 - Sunday 17th May 2026
Step back into the Middle Ages with a jam-packed day of Medieval fun at 800-year-old Monk Bretton Priory, Barnsley's oldest heritage site.
Our Medieval Mayhem event returns for its 6th year. Organised and supported by our amazing team of volunteers at Jolly Good Communities, and supported by Friends of Monk Bretton Priory.
Medieval Mayhem is a fantastic day out for the family, with knights, jesters, medieval re-enactment, music, fire breather, archery and more!
If you've attended before, you'll know what a brilliant day out it is. Perhaps one of the best value events in Barnsley. Monk Bretton ward alliance has sponsored this year's event to help keep our prices low for everyone! Big thanks to them.
