JTA Presents Newsies

On the streets of New York City in 1899, 'newsies' make a living by selling newspapers on street corners for The New York World, The New York Journal, and other publications.  New newsboys Davey and Les learn the "tools of the trade" while Jack Kelly dreams of a life far away from the city. Meanwhile, aspiring journalist Katherine works to make a name for herself.  When newspaper owner Joseph Pulitzer raises the price that the newsies pay for the papers they sell, the newsies band together to stand up to the newspaper owners.
