Shoetown 2027 Stakeholder Briefing & Networking Evening
Northampton Museum & Art Gallery, Northampton, NN 1DP
Thursday 29th October 2026 6:00PM
Brought to you by Crown Northampton Shoes, join fellow business leaders, partners and community stakeholders for an informal evening of networking and inspiration as we unveil plans for Shoetown 2027, a major new event celebrating Northampton's unrivalled shoemaking heritage.
This exclusive stakeholder gathering will bring together those who share a passion for Northampton and recognise the importance of preserving and celebrating the legacy of the generations of shoemakers, manufacturers and innovators who helped put our town firmly on the map.
Guests will hear first-hand about the vision for Shoetown, taking place in May 2027, and discover how businesses, organisations and individuals can become involved in shaping and supporting what promises to be a landmark celebration of one of Northampton's most defining stories. Hear from organisers Crown Northampton Shoes about the event itself and the vision, alongside partners including West Northamptonshire Council, who will speak about the value of the shoe industry in terms of local jobs, skills, civic pride, community and tourism, and Richard Clinton, Chief Executive of Delapré Abbey and Chair of Discover Northamptonshire, who will share perspectives on the role of heritage, culture, wellbeing and place-marketing in shaping Northampton's future.
Whether through sponsorship, participation, promotion or partnership, this is an opportunity to explore how we can collectively honour our rich heritage while creating something exciting and impactful for future generations.
Alongside updates on the event, guests will enjoy a relaxed evening of networking with like-minded leaders and stakeholders, strengthening connections and celebrating a shared commitment to Northampton's future and its remarkable past.
Come and be part of the conversation as we take the first steps towards Shoetown 2027 and celebrate the industry that helped define Northampton's identity.
