An Evening with Dougie and Billy
Inverkip Community Hub, 2 Kip Park, PA16 0FZ
Saturday 8th November 2025
Join us at the Inverkip Hub on 11th October 2025 as we host an evening with Greenock Morton manager, Dougie Imrie and club Technical Head Coach, Billy Davies.
Both lads have huge experience in the football world and will be bringing their stories to the table.
Dougie Imrie had a fine playing career with a highlight being the night he scored a penalty at Celtic Park for Morton that knocked the hosts out of the League Cup. Since becoming the gaffer at Cappielow, he has picked up an incredible eight Manager of the Month awards and propelled the club upwards.
Billy Davies cv includes playing for Rangers, Leicester City, St Mirren, Dunfermline and Motherwell with spells abroad as well. As a manager he led Derby County into the English Premiership, was twice head coach at Nottingham Forest, took Preston North End to the brink of the top tier and had Motherwell on the threshold of European football.
Come along and hear tales from the playing side of things as well as what it takes to manage a club in the competitive environment of Scottish and English football.
Hosted by Gerry McDade, it promises to be an informative, interesting and entertaining evening that you will not want to miss!
