This is a 2.5 hour course delivered online via Zoom in English language by Julie Edwards
This course is for those who have safeguarding responsibilities in their local church,(safeguarding coordinator/ deacon/ trustee) or are considering the role.
This will cover some basic material from a level one course but will mainly focus on the coordinators role and look at policy and safer recruitment requirements and the DBS process and eligibility criteria.
As this course does not focus on the signs symptoms of abuse and how to respond, we advise that you complete the Social Care Wales online Group A e-learning course as well as a Level 1 or 2 Panel safeguarding course.

All our training is based on the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Handbook which is the safeguarding policy for the Baptist Union of Wales, the Union of Welsh Independents and the Presbyterian Church of Wales.
