In The Making

In the Making is a monthly creative evening that blends showcase and community, celebrating Dorset’s vibrant artistic scene. Each event features two short plays by local playwrights, an open mic segment for poetry, spoken word, comedy, and music, and concludes with a Q&A with the night’s artists and an industry professional.

The evening is designed to give local artists a supportive space to test new work, share ideas, and connect with audiences in a relaxed, welcoming environment that encourages creativity and collaboration. We aim to be a stepping stone between an artist’s vision and reality- offering a platform where emerging talent can bring ideas to life and share them with the community.
