How Hill's Summer Family Days 2026
How Hill Trust Environmental Education Centre, Norfolk, NR29 5PG
Monday 20th July 2026 - Thursday 23rd July 2026
Bring the family to How Hill for summer fun!
Activities this year include pond dipping, clay animal making, and a woodland trail.
Car parking can be found at our public car park. Walk across the field to the gravel track and turn right to the top of the hill past the public toilets. Registration will be outside the wooden education building next to the "Olympic Oak" carving.
You will be signed in by a member of the How Hill team and given a map showing the location of each activity.
An education team member will explain the activity and provide all the resources for pond dipping and clay animal making. (1 set of pond dipping equipment per family and 1 portion of clay per child.)
Whilst at How Hill, feel free to bring a picnic to eat on the field and explore the gardens. (Please note there are no refreshments for sale by How Hill this year, but if you visit Toad Hole Cottage, they sell ice cream, and Natural Rise serves a selection of drinks and food options.)
By the river, you will often find the wherry Hathor open for viewing and Toad Hole Cottage. If you are looking for additional activities, the Broads Authority also runs the Electric Eel boat trip and provides access to the nature trail, both of which are bookable from Toad Hole Cottage visitor centre at an additional cost.
