The Fugitives

The Fugitives perform as a dynamic modern folk quartet, with 4-part harmony and a variety of instruments (guitar, bass, kick-drum, banjo, violin, balalaika and harmonica). We jump from foot-stomping sing-alongs to show-stopping a capella ballads to insightful political and storytelling songs. We're also known to bring down the house with our repartee and banter. The Georgia Straight writes, "Despite their all-acoustic lineup, the Fugitives bring enough energy to the stage to light up a small city… The East Vancouver quartet conjures up a sound that’s like the missing link between Leonard Cohen and the Pogues"; AmericanaUK says,“This is classic songwriting with a conscience"; and the CBC writes, "This show is simply brilliant".
