Hastings & District Palestine Solidarity Campaign AGM
Stade Hall, Hastings, TN34 3FJ
Saturday 17th January 2026
All HDPSC members are invited to our annual general meeting on Saturday 17 January to hear powerful speeches from Ramzy Baroud, academic, author and editor of the Palestine Chronicle, and Fares Abulebda, writer and survivor of the Gaza genocide .
We will review the year’s work, celebrate the efforts and achievements of local fundraisers, elect new members to the branch committee and take steps to decide our aims and strategies for 2026.
For the past two years our group has campaigned tirelessly against British complicity with Israeli genocide and apartheid, both locally and nationally.
As the slaughter and starvation in Gaza ground on, public opinion hardened and today, there is a greater awareness of the injustices suffered by generations of Palestinians than ever before.
Now, at a critical moment, we will come together to decide how to campaign most effectively and where to direct our energies and resources.
We are only as strong as the people who make up our movement so please be part of this important day.
There are 100 spaces available to members, allocated on a first come first serve basis. If you are unsure whether you are a member or wish to join, get in touch. Annual membership is just £5 unwaged and £10 waged.
To stand for one of the three committee positions available, please email a short personal statement (under 500 words) by January 7. No previous committee experience is necessary, just passion and enthusiasm to support the Palestinian struggle for freedom, equality and justice.
Candidates will be elected at the AGM. Motions should be submitted by December 15. All correspondence to be sent to [email protected]
