Happy Families

Full of warmth, humour and nostalgia, Happy Families looks back on one young man’s teenage years growing up in a working-class Northern household. As John begins to outgrow the world around him through education and artistic ambition, family tensions rise in this affectionate and bittersweet semi-autobiographical portrait of change, grief and growing up.
