Oxford University Jazz Scheme: Autumn Concert with Liselotte Östblom

The ensembles of the Oxford University Jazz Scheme join forces with guest artist, Swedish vocalist Liselotte Östblom, in an evening full of jazz masterworks past and present. Swing tunes, soulful ballads and synth-laden new compositions will feature, journeying from the works of jazz great Oliver Nelson and his seminal album, Blues and the Abstract Truth, to music from Liselotte’s expansive record, A Paintbrush Unfold and more.

Liselotte Östblom is a Swedish london-based vocal artist, composer, and educator whose notable collaborators include Gregory Hutchinson, Robert “Sput” Searight and performances across the UK and international jazz festivals in her own name. Currently working on her new album, Liselotte continues to push the sound of jazz in her solo show of electronic samples, acoustic presence of the voice and soulful improvisation.
