Harbour Oysters Ltd
Harbour Oysters, founded by local sisters Lottie and Poppy Johns, continues to make exciting progress in restoring native oyster populations in and around Chichester Harbour. The initiative focuses on using oysters as a natural solution to improve water quality and support marine biodiversity.
Over the past year, tens of thousands of native oysters have been carefully installed beneath jetties and pontoons across the harbour. These oysters play a crucial environmental role – each one can filter up to 200 litres of water per day, helping to remove pollutants, improve water clarity, and create habitats for other marine life.
We need your help getting our next few thousand oysters ready for their new home.
